Ms. Clautretta Williams was appointed as Chief Clerk of Recorder’s Court on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Williams’ career spans more than 20 years working as a public servant where she worked as a Social Service Worker and then Juvenile Probation Officer in Russell County, Alabama. She worked as a House Manager for Weracoba Second Chance Home in Columbus and as a Student Services Coordinator for Virginia College here in Columbus. Prior to her appointment as Chief Clerk of Recorder’s Court, Williams served as Chief Deputy Clerk and Assistant Chief Deputy Clerk to the Muscogee County Superior Court Clerk, the late Ann L. Hardman and her successor, Shasta Glover.
Williams graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 1998. She serves as a member of the GA Juvenile Services Association; previous Administrator for the Radical Generational Teen Ministry for Faith Worship Center International, and served as Project Team Captain for House of Heroes. Williams volunteers her time as a mentoring, motivating and inspiring young women and girls to reach their fullest potential. She is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
Williams is a native of Phenix City, Alabama. She is married to Christopher Williams and they have two sons, Ucambre Williams and Camden Williams.
